The Dalí Theatre-Museum, inaugurated in 1974, was built on the remains of the old Figueres theater, and contains a wide range of works that describe the artistic career of Salvador Dalí, from his first artistic experiences and his creations within Surrealism, to the works from the last years of his life.

Salvador Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat, an essential place to visit to get to know the painter's universe well. This particular and unique place is subject to the action of the waves, mainly caused by the tramontana (name given to a cold wind that blows from the north and northwest) and the easterly winds.

Geomorphologically, it forms part of the foothills of the eastern Pyrenees, or Montes Alberes, which jut out into the sea through the Cabo de Creus massif. On granitic and schistous terrain from the Ordovician (Paleozoic), it presents a dominant vegetation of bushes and shrub formations. Cap de Creus, at whose end there is a lighthouse, is located on a small mountainous peninsula, cut by numerous notches, like small coves, oriented according to the slate structure.

The strength of Cap de Creus as an artistic, plastic or literary material has been a source of inspiration for writers and artists.

Protected Natural Area, Partial Nature Reserve, Natural Site of National Interest. The area has a considerable density of megalithic monuments, the highest in Catalonia, with a large number of dolmens and menhirs, such as La Murtra or Pedra Gentil.
